Honoring AANHPI and Jewish American Heritage Month at Bush

Throughout the month of May, The Bush School is proud to honor and celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month and Jewish American Heritage Month across our K–12 community. These months provide meaningful opportunities to recognize, learn from, and uplift the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of these communities.

Across our campus, students and faculty will have access to a variety of learning experiences and resources:
  • In the Lower and Middle School libraries, students can explore special displays featuring curated books from our collection that center AANHPI and Jewish American voices and stories.
  • Middle and Upper School bulletin boards and libraries will feature both educational displays and book selections that encourage deeper engagement.
  • Our Library Team is also sharing a resource newsletter with faculty and students in Middle and Upper School, providing tools and ideas to continue the learning in classrooms and at home.
  • Be sure to check out our Bush Library Instagram, where we’ll highlight featured books throughout the month!
These activities reflect our school’s commitment to inviting diverse perspectives, cultivating connection, and creating space for community-wide learning.

Librarian Dr. Liz Ebersole shared some great resources to Middle and Upper School faculty which can be found below.
