Our History, Present, and Future

The Bush School has a rich history of progressive education in the Seattle community. As we celebrate our 100th year in 2024, Bush remains committed to experiential learning, fostering deep and trusting relationships between students and teachers, and an inclusive and welcoming community for all. We also recognize that moving forward requires critically examining our past and acknowledging and learning from past challenges and mistakes. The Bush School looks to enter our next century stronger and more connected than ever, driven by our mission and values.

The Bush School is an independent, coeducational day school located in Seattle, WA enrolling 735 students in grades K–12. The mission of The Bush School is to spark in students of diverse backgrounds and talents a passion for learning, accomplishment, and contribution to their communities.
