Art Kits for Little Ones + Special Partnership
Join us for our next Lower School Service Club on Friday, April 10.
We are partnering with
Babies of Homelessness to assemble art kits for the families they serve. Founded in 2016 by Star Lalario, the organization was inspired by her childhood experience living in a shelter and her desire to support young children experiencing homelessness outside the shelter system.
We’re also excited to partner with
Bobbie and welcome Bush Parent and co-founder Sara Hardy, who will join us to share about her company and the importance of supporting families with young children. Through this partnership, Bobbie is generously donating high-quality infant formula.
During the session, students will:
Assemble and decorate Art Kits
Create a collection of high-contrast flash cards for infant visual and brain development
Students will also learn about different ways people and organizations support families with young children.
Join us for a hands-on afternoon of creativity and care.
All K–5 students and Middle School Helpers are invited to participate. Space is limited, so please sign up soon.
Level the Field Sports Gear Drive- March 23 through April 9
The Lower School Service Club is partnering with
Level the Field Sports, founded by Justin R. ‘28 and Jacob R. ‘30, to support a sports gear drive. Level the Field Sports is a nonprofit that helps underserved youth gain access to sports by providing gear and equipment, as well as covering team dues when families are unable to afford them.
This is an exciting opportunity for the entire Bush community to make a meaningful contribution to local youth and will benefit Lowell Elementary School. The drive will begin on Monday, March 23, and new and gently used sports gear and equipment (e.g. sneakers, cleats, sports apparel, water bottles, bags, balls - especially soccer and basketball, all sizes) will be accepted until Thursday, April 9.
Collection boxes are located by the Main Entrance, Upper School, and the Schuchart Lobby.
