Senior Projects are Almost Here! Learn How You Can Help

Senior Projects are an optional capstone to the experiential learning journey that defines a Bush School education. For the last two weeks of school, participating seniors design a project deepening and extending their connection to our community, both locally and globally.

Starpalooza! Drag Making a Difference

Evan Z. ’26 and Lola Z. ’26 will be hosting a Drag Show in Benaroya on Tuesday, June 2, at 7:00 p.m. with doors at 6:30 p.m. This show is recommended for audiences ages thirteen and up. Tickets are available at a range of prices, and proceeds support Human Rights CampaignThe Nature Conservatory, and Amnesty International. Click here to learn more and purchase tickets.

Student Film Festival

This May, as part of a senior project by Measles V. ’26 and Dylan S. ’26, students are hosting a student film festival! It will be on Sunday, May 31 from 12:30-3:00 p.m. at Central Cinema. It should be about two hours of film showings, followed by the announcement of the awards and a Q&A with our judges.
 
This festival aims to showcase the hard work of high school filmmakers and give them recognition on resumes and applications. That is why we are looking for ANY film that you made while in high school that you’re proud of!
 
Our judges will be Ben Weber ’90Ian Andreen ’12, and Dan Brown, who are all established members in the filmmaking industry. There will be five awards, and the event will be a great way to support student work and meet other filmmakers.
 
How to sign up: Fill out THIS google form with some information about you and your film, and a place to attach your film. The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 15. All entries will be reviewed by multiple judges, and awards will be announced during the film festival.
 
Requirements:
  • Your film cannot exceed ten minutes 
  • The film must have been made while you were in high school
  • You may submit more than one film, but they need to be made with different crews. (one film per crew, but not necessarily one film per individual)
