Canvas in Middle School

Canvas helps support our values of nurturing open minds, cultivating independence, and fostering a culture of feedback and academic growth. We’re confident this shift in learning management systems will help both students and families engage more meaningfully with learning at Bush.

 

We are excited to offer parents and guardians observer access to Canvas through your own login. We encourage you to use it as a tool to engage in conversations with your child about their academic progress including what they are learning in their classes and how they are navigating their coursework in Canvas. Each teacher’s Canvas course pages are rich in information about content, resources, and assignments. The platform also offers functionality that helps students stay organized across their classes. We discourage parents from using Canvas as a tracking tool for daily assignments and grades, as progress may not always be immediately visible. To promote self advocacy, it remains your child’s responsibility to reach out to their teacher around their academic progress.
