The Annual Fund's Impact: Spotlight on Lower School Music Faculty Juliana Cantarelli Vita

During the Annual Fund, we are highlighting faculty and staff across campus to share both how supporting the school’s operating budget through the Annual Fund helps our educational programs flourish and why our amazing faculty and staff choose to be a part of the Annual Fund as well. This week, we chatted with Lower School Music Teacher Juliana Cantarelli Vita.

Juliana has worked at Bush since 2023. Her programs include choir, drama, and related after-school activities. She was drawn to Bush for its community, its commitment to justice and equity, and the growing support for the performing arts.

With the school’s support, Juliana is able to offer both Lower School Choir and Drama as after-school programs at no additional cost to families. Expenses for the Lower School Drama program, including the director, stage manager, and technical staff, are fully covered by the school’s operating budget. The Annual Fund makes this possible by supporting every aspect of The Bush School’s annual operations.

Every gift, of any amount, makes a difference!

Juliana said, “When we all invest, it shows that the community believes in the mission of the school.”

Outside of the classroom, Juliana has received support to further her own education through Bush’s professional development programs. This past summer, she spent three weeks in a music and dance immersion program in Eweland, in the Volta Region of Ghana. The experiences and lessons she learned during her time there are something she can bring back to the classroom and share with her students.

“Our programs have really been expanding over the last few years, and that wouldn’t be possible without the support from the school community: from parents and guardians, students, to faculty and the Senior Leadership Team,” Juliana said.

Participation in the Annual Fund supports each classroom, teacher, and student at Bush. Be a part of that collective impact, and give to the Annual Fund today.
